Obviously, you can’t simply put a pool table wherever it fits. A significant amount of space is required around all sides of the pool table so that you can properly extend your cue! When looking at exactly how much space you’ll need, we found these handy pool table dimensions from Brunswick Billiards. These dimensions are based on the four most typical pool table sizes and a 58″ cue:

Seven-Foot Table Dimensions:

Dimensions: 3.5 x 7’

Playing Area: 36 x 76”

Minimum Total Space Required: 13 x 16’

Eight-Foot Table Dimensions:

Dimensions: 4 x 8’

Playing Area: 44 x 88”

Minimum Total Space Required: 13’6” x 17’

Oversized Eight-Foot Table Dimensions:

Dimensions: 4 x 8’

Playing Area: 46 x 92”

Minimum Total Space Required: 13’6” x 17’6”

Nine-Foot Table

Dimensions: 4.5 x 9’

Playing Area: 50 x 100”

Minimum Total Space Required: 14 x 18’
